Palau Visitors Authority Expands Reach and Strengthens Partnerships in Australia: Sales Mission 2025 Wrap-Up

The Palau Visitors Authority (PVA), represented by Managing Director Mr. Kadoi Ruluked, Board Member Ms. Leah Asanuma Gillham, and Strategic Analyst II Ms. Geena Gerald accompanied by key delegation members included Mr. Dieter Kudler from Fish n’ Fins, Ms. Karen Dilay from Palau Pacific Resort, and Ms. Nikki Chen from Palau Sunrise Seaview Landison Retreat, successfully completed its 2025 Sales Mission to Australia From October 13 to October 17, 2025.

This mission focused on strengthening existing partnerships and forging new relationships with Australia’s leading travel industry stakeholders to promote Palau as a premier luxury, adventure, and sustainable tourism destination.

The delegation engaged in comprehensive meetings and training sessions across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, and Sydney, connecting with a wide range of partners, including:

Highlights include:

• Qantas Airways: Continued collaboration to expand direct weekly flights from Brisbane to Palau, with discussions focusing on increasing flight frequency and improving commercial viability through marketing partnerships.

• Luxury Travel Wholesalers and Agencies: Strengthened ties with Luxury Escapes, Lux Voyages, and Ignite Travel Group, highlighting Palau’s luxury accommodations, cultural experiences, and eco-tourism opportunities to attract high-end travelers.

• Travel Agent Training: PVA, alongside resort and activity partners Palau Pacific Resort, Palau Sunrise Sea View Landison Retreat, and Fish n' Fins, conducted pivotal training sessions with travel agencies including Ignite Travel Group and Room.res, enhancing agent knowledge to better promote Palau.

• Adventure and Sustainable Tourism Operators: Meetings with G Adventures, Intrepid Travel, Diveplanit, and Always Dive emphasized Palau’s position in sustainable, community-based tourism and expanding niche markets such as diving and eco-adventures.

• Pacific Trade Invest: Played a pivotal role in supporting Palau’s tourism growth by facilitating digital tourism programs, strategic marketing partnerships, and capacity-building workshops to enhance Palau’s online visibility and market access in Australia.

• New Market Engagements: PVA identified Mobile Travel Agent (MTA) as a promising new agent target, introducing Palau’s offerings to this influential network of independent travel advisors for further market penetration.

• Wholesalers and Retailers: Fusion Holidays, Envoyage, Infinity Holidays, and Travel Managers were engaged to expand product portfolios, develop marketing campaigns, and boost Palau’s visibility among Australian consumers.

The Sales Mission also featured active participation in agent training events, digital marketing collaborations, and discussions on upcoming tourism products and packages designed to attract Australians seeking unique cultural and natural experiences.
