PVA working with Angaur State to assess its potential tourism
Palau Visitors Authority (PVA) visited Angaur on May 29, 2020 to conduct their yearly assessment
program. Angaur, who is part of the Alii Pass program, is the 12 th state PVA has visited in these past
weeks.
Each year, PVA targets to travel to each of Palau’s respective states to carry out a thorough assessment
of their established tourist attractions, facilities, and potential attractions in the area.
PVA along with Governor Suzuky sat with the community to discuss their thoughts about the future of
tourism in Angaur. PVA shared their confidence that Angaur has great potential for camping sites and
more. After hearing PVA team’s thoughts about Angaur, the community showed support and were
eager to continue further plans for Angaur.
Mr. Kadoi Ruluked, Acting Managing Director, shares, “The travel industry will never be the same.
Hygiene and safety will be a top priority for travelers. We see this as an opportune time to reevaluate
and revamp our assets. We believe it is a chance to hit the reset button so when we do open our
borders, we are ready.”
