Palau Receives ITB Earth Award in Berlin, Germany
On March 6, 2019, the Republic of Palau received the ITB Earth Award and the recognition of being among the World’s Top 10 Sustainable Destinations in Berlin, Germany.
Palau was selected by a jury representing 12 international organizations. Green Destinations noted Palau’s innovative environmental initiatives, including the Shark Sanctuary, Palau National Marine Sanctuary, and the Palau Pledge Campaign.
First Lady Debbie Remengesau attended the award ceremony and received the award on behalf of Palau.
