Since its launch in April, the Daytime Bus service has received positive feedback from passengers. We are grateful for the community's support and are pleased to announce several significant updates, effective Monday, July 29. These changes are made in response to passenger requests and increasing demand for the service.
Increased Service Days The Daytime Bus will now operate every weekday (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays), expanding from the previous schedule of two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). This increase to five days a week will provide greater flexibility and convenience for our passengers.
Extended Bus Route The current route, which runs between Supercenter in Airai and Belau National Hospital, will now extend to include Ice Box Park in Makalal. This extension responds to numerous passenger requests and aims to better serve the community.
Extended Operating Hours A new midday service will be introduced, ensuring continuous operation throughout the day. Although the route has been extended, the service frequency will remain at six round-trips per day. An updated timetable will be provided to reflect these changes.
Updated Bus Stops To enhance accessibility and convenience, the following changes will be made to bus stops:
- New Stops:
- True Value (toward Belau National Hospital)
- JP Friendship Bridge Airai Side (toward Belau National Hospital)
- Ernguul Park (toward Supercenter)
- Old Age Center (both directions)
- Discontinued Stops:
- Klubed (toward Belau National Hospital)
- Culture Center
In addition, several bus stops will be relocated and renamed to improve visibility and ease of access.
