The Palau Visitors Authority (PVA) delegation, comprising Mr. Ngiraibelas Tmetuchl, Minister and Ex-Officio Board Member; Mr. Kadoi Ruluked, Managing Director; and Ms. Kiruu Kanai, Marketing Representative, recently traveled to Metro Manila aboard Philippine Airlines (PAL) to participate in the PAL Travel Fiesta 2.0. The two-day business-to-business (B2B) travel trade event brought together tourism boards, travel agencies, accommodation providers, and Philippine Airlines personnel to strengthen industry partnerships and promote travel opportunities across the region.
Following the successful launch of the direct Koror–Manila service in March, PVA was invited to showcase Palau as a premier travel destination by highlighting its diverse tourism experiences, cultural attractions, and world-renowned natural beauty. The event provided an excellent platform to engage with travel professionals, many of whom were learning about Palau for the first time. Attendees expressed great interest in discovering that Palau's pristine islands and unique experiences are just a two-and-a-half-hour flight from Manila.
During their visit, the PVA delegation also met with representatives from the Philippine Airlines Sales and Marketing Team to discuss opportunities for strategic collaboration in promoting the new route. Discussions focused on developing attractive airfare, accommodation, and tour packages, exploring the potential for multi-city itineraries connecting Palau through Manila, and planning a future media familiarization tour that will host members of the Philippine Airlines marketing team in Palau.
The Palau Visitors Authority remains committed to strengthening partnerships with Philippine Airlines and the Philippine travel industry to increase visitor arrivals, expand market awareness, and position Palau as a premier destination for travelers seeking authentic island experiences in the Pacific.
