The Palau Visitors Authority (PVA) team welcomed a courtesy visit from Ms. Onorina Fugawai of Pacific Trade Invest (PTI), who shared exciting updates on PTI’s Digital Tourism Program and its continued support for Palau’s tourism industry.
Ms. Fugawai shared the great news that PTI has secured funding to further enhance the websites and online presence of Palau businesses participating in the Digital Tourism Program. This initiative comes at an opportune time as Palau prepares for increased connectivity through the North Pacific Connector and the launch of an additional Qantas flight in December.
Through PTI’s ongoing efforts, participating Palauan businesses have developed revenue-generating websites and strengthened their digital presence, placing Palau among the top three destinations in the North Pacific in terms of revenue-generating tourism websites and online visibility.
The PVA extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Fugawai and Pacific Trade Invest for their continued work in strengthening Palau’s digital tourism ecosystem and helping position Palau and the broader North Pacific region on the global digital stage. Your efforts are creating greater opportunities for local businesses to connect with travelers, generate revenue, and benefit from the region’s growing tourism connectivity.
