Official Rules and Regulations: Win a Trip to Palau!

By entering this giveaway, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Official Rules and Regulations.

1. Eligibility

• • Please be advised that eligibility for participation in this giveaway is extended to international travelers who have reached the age of 18 years or older. We wish to inform Palauan residents and citizens that, on this occasion, they are not eligible to participate. We appreciate your understanding.
  • Employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of the Palau Visitors Authority, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in the same household of each such employee, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate or win.
  • This giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

2. How to Enter

• • To enter the giveaway, participants must complete the following steps. 
    • Like our video on our official social media accounts @visitpalau or @visitpalaujp. Show us some love!
    • Tag a friend in the comments section of the giveaway post.
    • Share the video on your story!  
  • Only one (1) entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries from the same individual will be disqualified.
  • Entries must be received by June 30, 2025, 5pm Palau Time/Tokyo Time. 
  • Entries submitted after this time will not be eligible.
  • Entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, or do not comply with these rules will be disqualified.

3. Prize

• • There will be one (2) grand prize winner.
  • The grand prize consists of four (4) roundtrip economy class airline tickets to Palau 
  • The prize does not include, and the winner is solely responsible for, any and all other expenses associated with the trip, including but not limited to: accommodation, meals, ground transportation, airport transfers, baggage fees, travel insurance, visas, passports, taxes, gratuities, and any other personal expenses.
  • The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash equivalent or prize substitution will be offered, except at the sole discretion of the Palau Visitors Authority due to unavailability for reasons beyond its control. In such circumstances, a prize of equal or greater value may be awarded.
  • Travel must be completed within 1 year of the winner being notified, subject to availability and blackout dates. Specific travel dates are subject to confirmation by the Palau Visitors Authority.

4. Winner Selection and Notification

• • The potential winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the contest period. 
  • The potential winner will be notified via direct message on the social media platform they used to enter within 7 days of the drawing.
  • The potential winner will be required to respond to the notification within 7 days of the date the notification was sent, providing their full name, email address, phone number, and mailing address for prize fulfillment.
  • If the potential winner fails to respond within the specified time frame, is found to be ineligible, fails to comply with these Official Rules and Regulations, or declines the prize, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate potential winner may be selected in a random drawing from the remaining eligible entries, at the sole discretion of the Palau Visitors Authority.

5. Prize Claim

• • The winner will be required to complete and return a Liability Release, and Publicity Release within 14 days of receipt. Failure to return the required documents within the specified time frame may result in prize forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner.

6. Publicity

• • By accepting the prize, the winner grants the Palau Visitors Authority and its affiliates the right to use their name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, and biographical information for advertising, promotional, and publicity purposes in any media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, without further compensation, notification, or permission, unless prohibited by law.

8. General Conditions

• • The Palau Visitors Authority reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Palau Visitors Authority's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest, as determined by the Palau Visitors Authority in its sole discretion.
  • The Palau Visitors Authority reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules and Regulations or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
  • Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the  contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, thePalau Visitors Authority reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • The Palau Visitors Authority's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules and Regulations shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • All applicable laws and regulations of Palau shall apply.

9. Disputes

• • All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules and Regulations, or the rights and obligations of entrants and the Palau Visitors Authority in connection with the contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Palau, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of Palau or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Palau.
